176 Cadets did extremely well this past weekend, when the cadets held their national qualifier races. A number of volunteers had to move snow around to ensure that the trails were covered enough but the competition went well in spite of it. The cadet races comprised of competitors from all three elements, Air, Army and Navy.

A number of weeks ago, when they had the regional races, 8 cadets from 176 Boeing of Canada Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron qualified and were a major component of the Winnipeg representation. During the Provincial races this past weekend, which brought in cadets from all over Manitoba and NW Ontario, the 176 RCACS cadets did extremely well.

Remi Stockwell won Gold in Senior Males, AJ Toews won Bronze in Junior Males, Katherine-Anne Templeman won Gold in Senior Females, Sarah Duncan won Silver in Senior Females. Christian Savoie and Brennan Mack also did quite well for their first competition placing 7th and 13th respectively.

The 176 Male Team consisting of Remi Stockwell, AJ Toews and Christian Savoie took the Silver Medal for Male Unit Teams. All these cadets did extremely well and Remi S., Katherine-Anne T. and Sarah D. will be going on to Nova Scotia to be part of the team that represents Manitoba/NW Ontario.
