Air Cadets Take Flight for Children’s Hospital !

posted 7 Feb 2016, 11:43 by Christopher Mitchell
Cadets will be taking flight on a three-day event using a flight simulator on a 3,000 mile cross-country flight from St. John's, Newfoundland to Victoria, British Columbia. Funds will be raised through pledges collected by the cadets and during the event. All money raised goes directly to the Manitoba Children's Hospital. The goal each year is to collect one dollar for every mile flown.

This fundraiser event will be held between February 12-14, 2016 at Kildonan Place Shopping Center - This will be 176 Boeing of Canada Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron's Ninth Flight for Life event to raise money for the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba. Since running this event, 176 have raised $25,000 all for the Children’s Hospital!

We will again have Two Dream Flyers (full motion flight simulator) for the public to try. The “Dream Flyer” gives the public the opportunity to get the feeling of flying without ever leaving the ground. For a small donation, you can fly one on Fri., Feb. 12th from 10am-9pm, Sat., Feb 13th from 10am-6pm and Sun., Feb. 14th from 11:00am-6pm.

Dr. Goodbear will also be dropping by our display throughout the weekend. Hope to see you all there for this noteworthy cause!!
